In 2001, Gujarat earthquake occurred with considerable and unprecedented loss. Bhuj was the one area in Gujarat that was most extensively damaged.

 

The trustees of the Foundation led the effort in building a 40-bed hospital in Bhuj in 2002 in collaboration with Lions’ Club.

 

Donors were the various employees of Mittal Steel, Mr.L.N.Mittal and the Lions’ International.
