OTHER CHARITIES

Maggie’s Centre provides free practical, emotional and social support to people with cancer and their families and friends.

This is a not-for-profit charity organisation founded and managed by Asian Women. The group provides information, advice and support to all communities in London.

Akshaya Patra was started in 2000 and embraces the vision that ‘No child in India shall be deprived of education because of hunger’. The Foundation distributes freshly cooked, wholesome meals to over a million underprivileged children every school day.

TMC is a philanthropic initiative to promote prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, palliation, and research for cancer patients. 50% of the 150 beds hospital provides free or subsidised treatment for the underprivileged sections of the society.

Pratham UK has raised considerable sums and helped over 35 million disadvantaged children to read.

After Adoption is a voluntary adoption agency working throughout England and Wales to help all those affected by adoption.

Stroke Association is the UK’s stroke charity. They support stroke survivors, families and carers. They fund research into the prevention and treatment of stroke.
