Since 2010 we have worked across India, the UAE, the Philippines, Uganda, Thailand and the United Kingdom — addressing illiteracy, hunger and deprivation through programmes that empower the people who need them most.
Maheshwari Foundation was established in India in March 2010 and registered as a UK charity in 2011 (Charity No. 1145228). We work to address illiteracy, hunger and deprivation through initiatives that empower disadvantaged populations.
Our principle is simple: every individual can make a contribution, and it is incumbent upon each one of us who enjoys the licence to live in this world to make our own little contribution.
We have committed a minimum of INR 10 crore (approximately US$1.2 million) toward our objectives, and have delivered programmes across six countries since our first response — the 2001 Bhuj earthquake — through to today.

What we do
Most of our programmes are multi-year commitments — many running for more than a decade. We believe sustained presence does more good than one-off gestures.
