Sudhir Maheshwarifounded his own investments and advisory venture in April 2015 by the name of Synergy, with operations currently in the UAE, UK, Singapore and India. Prior to that, Sudhir has had a successful professional career including a 27-year career with ArcelorMittal, the world’s largest steel and mining company, where he was a member of the Group Management Board responsible for corporate finance, mergers, acquisitions and divestments, amongst others. He also led Mittal Investments for nearly a decade and made significant investments in areas of oil and gas, refinery, infrastructure and cement. He has served on the Boards of various companies globally.
Sudhir believes that you need to have a passion for the work you do. He says, “If you know why you’re passionate about your passions, you can figure out how to infuse that into your day-to-day activities.” A family man and a proponent and practitioner of work-life balance, Maheshwari is diverse in his passions too. His love for sports, music, travelling and philanthropy is a testimony to this.
He raised money to build a hospital in the wake of a massive earthquake of 2002 in Bhuj, Gujarat. He raised money to build a housing colony near Pondicherry following the devastating Tsunami of 2004. He has served as a trustee of Leonard Cheshire Disability Trust in the UK during 2012-13. He raised considerable funds to help build a new campus at his alma mater, St. Xavier’s College, during 2013. He has served as a trustee of ArcelorMittal Foundation and the Mittal Foundation over a long period. Currently, he is a trustee at Future Hope, UK, which is a Kolkata street children’s charity where he led the efforts for the successful debut fundraising dinner in 2015. He is also associated with the noble laureate Kailash Satyarthi’s Foundation (UK) who is closely associated with eradication of child slavery. He continues to serve as a Board member of Business Council of International Understanding (US).
Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and The Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Sudhir Maheshwari is an Honours Graduate in Accounting and Commerce from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata.
A global citizen, Author, Economics graduate - Sangeeta Maheshwari has keen interests in holistic living and alternative therapies. She has lived in many countries and has travelled extensively around the world.
Sangeeta is a qualified Metaphysician from U.K. and works as an ‘Inner Happiness Mentor’. She connects Mind, Body and Spirit by integrating various modalities to build a harmonious relationship with LIFE.
She helps with diverse issues relating to relationships, expectations, boundaries, fear, guilt, grief, anxiety, low self-worth, inner confidence, blockages and more… by using self-empowerment techniques bespoke to the client and connecting them with their inner peace and happiness.
She has conducted workshops/talks in London, India and Dubai to increase awareness of ‘Self’ and how to overcome stress and anxiety and work from a place of choice and empowerment.
Mr Deo Kumar Maheshwari was born in Vidisha, India on 25th September 1941. He completed his postgraduate studies in Commerce in Ajmer, India in 1962, and moved to Kolkata where he built a distinguished professional career before retiring in March 2011.
Throughout his life, Mr DK Maheshwari had a keen interest in social service and has been an active member of Lions Club of Howrah since 1972. He set up and managed two hospitals with 40 beds capacity each in Howrah Maidan and Uluberia, West Bengal.
At Maheshwari Foundation, Mr DK Maheshwari was the India Trustee and led Maheshwari School for All in Howrah and Kolkata, where he looked after the well-being and education of over 500 children since 2008.
In October 2018, Mr DK Maheshwari initiated a project to develop a much needed Blood Bank in Howrah. The Blood Bank and Thalassemia Clinic is funded by the Maheshwari Foundation and the same is being commissioned at the Jadurberia Hospital of Howrah Lions’ Club.
Mr DK Maheshwari is survived by his wife, two sons, one daughter, two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law and six grandchildren.
His son, Sudhir Maheshwari, his daughter-in-law, Sangeeta Maheshwari, and two grandchildren, Angana Maheshwari and Ayush Maheshwari will continue to carry on his legacy in giving back to society.

Vishwanath Prasad is the India Trustee and an administrator for the Stepping Stones school in New Delhi, India.
After qualifying as BE and ME from BITS Pilani, Mr Prasad went as a Commonwealth scholar and did his MTech from Brunel University, UK. After a distinguished professional career, he retired in 1998.
He has a keen interest in social work. He has been an active member of Rajasthan Parishad and Senior Citizens Forum in New Delhi.
Angana Maheshwari has had the fortune of having a global life. Having lived in five countries, and now her sixth, she has had the opportunity to serve her community in various ways.
Having studied BSc Media, Culture and Communication at New York University (NYU) and MSc Media and Communication at London School of Economics (LSE), she is working on various start-up ideas in the digital industry.
She has also launched a non-profit organisation called Udaan, an online community for adoptees around the world.
Growing up, Angana has been active in fundraising money for local charities. When she was 7, she put a lemonade stall to raise money for Cancer Research UK and at 16 she did a full night walk for Maggies's Centres. During her IB programme, she raised over GBP 500 for the development of a school in Tanzania.
Ayush Maheshwari has had the fortune of living in five countries and travelling to over 50. Having global exposure, he has served various communities.
He is a graduate from New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Studies, majoring in Entrepreneurship, Management and Marketing with a minor in Art History.
At 21 he founded his first company, PairME Wines, based in New York City, which creates French wine blends to be paired with specific foods.
From a young age Ayush has raised money for various local charities, like Cancer Research UK, Maggie's Centres and more. He also spent time in Tanzania setting up various infrastructures for a school, like digging a trench in which a water pipe can send clean water to the children from a well, along with raising money for the school.
